There has been a new fuss that Android apps can access your personal stuff and it's out in the cyberworld. There is a permmison for the apps that asks for access to the web and writing to your SD card, but reading from the SD card is not one of the permissions. Your address book, sms messages, pictures, and location information. Trying to change this will make it complicated for you to manage your own files.
