Anonymous: The secret group's 5 biggest hacks

http://theweek.com/article/index/212846/anonymous-the-secret-groups-5-biggest-hacks

To start off, the group known as, "Anonymous" is essentially a group of hackers. Anonymous fiercely opposes Internet censorship. Individuals, corporations, and government agencies are largely targeted by the group especially those who seek to crack down on Internet piracy. Visa and PayPal are but a few examples of Anonymous's targets in the past. The group are renown supporters of WikiLeaks which has led to much of their often controversial activities.
As of 2012 Anonymous has remained fairly silent, although their notable activity occurred in 2011. Arguably their most well known action included being directly responsible for chief executive of the U.S. security firm, Aaron Barr whom was forced to resign. Anonymous also has a past with opposing Scientology and the Westboro Baptist Church going so far as to crippling their websites. Personally, Anonymous has an alignment I would like to call "chaotic good." Chaotic good understand the necessity of law and respect it but are opposed to bending or breaking the law for the greater good.

Whether Anonymous is a force for good or simply a group of rampaging hackers is all up to you. Regardless the group shall remain to pursue goals in opposition to Internet censorship and corporations who have grown too large for their own good. Let us await for the next controversial strike Anonymous launches, shall we?
