Anonymous is a group focused on promoting access to information, free speech, and transparency. They provide the public with reports exploring corrupt companies. Some of their recent activities making headlines are "Operation Blackout," the 2012 presidential election, and declaring war on the "Interpol" website. "Operation Blackout" was an act whose purpose was to alert U.S. citizens of a coming bill that was supposed to be named "Stop Online Piracy Act." This bill would've given Congress the power to censor any website they want without consent. It is also a good idea to check out this year's election because certain representatives have been passing bills to boost corprate profits. Anonymous recently launched an attack on the "Interpol" website on Feb. 29, 2012. They issued this attack after 25 associates were arrested for increasing political hysteria. This group is a team that consists of a variety of people whose sole purpose is to get us to open our eyes to the stuff that is happening all around us. So far, this group looks like it's out to do good and help protect our rights.
