Researchers demo full-duplex wireless: double the throughput with no new towers

Researchers has solved an efficient way to double the airwaves capacity with the simultaneous, 2-way data transmission on the same frequency. Their research involves a low cost upgrades and no changes in most of our current mobile devices. What it can do is that it will only use single frequency to send and receive data. Currently our current towers and mobile devices uses different frequencies to send and receive data. Now with this new technology we can both take advantages of using both frequency to speed up the transfers or use a single frequency to lessen energy consumption of our devices. Companies like AT&T, T-Mobile and other telecommunication companies around the world are studying this research for implementation.
