Scientists have engineered a computer to model how a schizophrenic brain works in order to better understand the disease. Very little is known about schizophrenia and what causes it. The scientists working on this project learned that one of the causes of this disease may be accelerated learning rate, when people remember things that would normally be dismissed as irrelevant. However they still don't know if the information from the computer can be applied to humans. This section of research will continue and if it is applicable to humans they will start modeling other diseases so that hopefully a cure can be found.
