Anonymous is a big group of hackers, using their skills to provide the public with investigative reports exposing corrupt companies. The work that they do is not meant to be annoying, (which is what the media wants people to think) but for the public to know what these companies, that we trust, actually do. The group is still in action, and just recently was involved in an attack against the Vatican. They first became popular in 2008 when they took place in an attack on The Church of Scientology. They became even more famous in America when they hacked Playstation Network for over three months in early 2011 and in late 2011 they they attempted to "kill Facebook".
