The difference between 3G and 4G is that 4G is faster. Another difference is that 3G is a mix of circuit and packet switch network and 4G is only a packet switching network. Carriers who offer 4G are Verizon, T-mobile AT&T. Carriers that say they have 4G but don't are LTE, Wimax, and UMB.
