On April 23, 2011 James Hetfield showed off his brand new custom EMG pickups. These new pickups are designed specifically for Hetfield giving him a higher output and fuller low end in the neck, and the new bridge pickup produces the familiar tight attack with less inductance for a cleaner low end.
