Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Awkward but Fulfilling for Fans

By Ben Kuchera

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary came out today! It has been 10 years today since Halo: Combat Evolved came out. I was in second grade when this game out, and my cousin was telling me about the game for the first time. The first Halo has shaped the path for the first person shooters today. No matter who you are you can not deny that Halo: Combat Evolved was one of the best first person shooters to come out. The funny thing about the first Halo is that it was meant to be a Macintosh game, and you didn't just play the Chief... you controlled the whole military. Halo was meant to be a RTS (real time strategy) game, but they gave control to one of the guys in the game and thought "Hey playing this super soldire guy is pretty fun, let's make our game like this!" That was more or less their thought process to the first Halo. The code name for the first Halo was "Blam!" because they wanted a code name that woulden't stick to them. Like the Xbox. The Xbox's code name was Xbox, but then it ended up sticking once people found it out. Halo has brought some really good memories to me and my firends. Me and my cousins will always remember when we all played it together, and I will always remember when I took on a whole team by myself. What is your favorite Halo Memory?
