Tony Fidell, designer of the iPod, decided in 2009 that he wanted to make a thermostat. He explained that "untold tons of carbon were being pumped into the air, with people losing billions of dollars in energy cost, all because there was no easy, automatic way to control the tempature." He came up with a thermostat that was not only good for the enviroment, but that is as fun as shuffling through an iPod's playlist. The Nest will pay for itself within a year or two of use. Shouldn't everyone have this cute lil' thermostat?
