The Pentagon, Contractors and Hackers: Who Protects the Protectors?

Hackers have yet again proven themselves to be resilient and a major problem. Now even the United States government is having problems with handling them as a series of cyberattacks launched over the course of several months have succeeded in theft of secret documentation with the intent of publicizing all they can siphon.
The Department of Defense reportedly has extended its Defense Industrial Base Cyber Pilot program to defense contractors. Another result has been the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security now in a union to share information and how to use it with defense contractors to prevent future attacks.
