Apple Sues Samsung in Japan over alleged iPhone, iPad patent violations

Revters is reporting that Cupertino is taking Korean manufacturer to court in Japan. It is said it is taken to court over alleged patent violations involving the iPhone and iPad. Kydo news agency in Japan was the first who repoted the news. The news agency is citing unamed insiders who claim Apple is looking to stop sales of Samsung's supposedly patent-infriging Galaxy S smartphones, while seeking about $1.3 mill. in damages. Accourding to sources, the first hearing was held Wednesday in a Tokyo District Court though a Court spokesman will not comment, nor has Samsung or Apple. Details on the Patent in question reamian uncertain, but we will find out more soon.
