A company in Idaho received money from the government to build a parking lot made of solar panels. The technology that this company has developed apparently gives the solar panels the same traction as asphalt and doesn't glare.

The purposes of this seemingly ridiculous invention are as follows: the solar panels melt snow and ice; they can be illuminated with warning signs for motorists; and they can power nearby buildings and cars.

The company is building and testing this concept now.
