Jobs Steps Down at Apple, Saying He Can't Meet Duties

By David Stratfeild
Steve P. Jobs, the C.E.O. of Apple, is stepping down to chairman, a job that previusly didn't exist. Steve Jobs has cancer. He went in to surgery for Pancriatic cancer in 2004. He got a kidney transplant in 2009. He also just recenttly, in January, was checked into a hospital. The company released the information the Mr. Jobs will be stepping down as Chief Executive and Tim Cook will be replacing him on Wednesday. Steve Jobs stated in a letter that the company released, " I have always said that if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's C.E.O., I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come." Many still believe, however, that even with Steve Jobs gone as C.E.O., the company will survive.
