People have always had some pretty odd uses facial recognition software but these are definetly the weirdest i have ever heard of. Allessandro Acquisti from Carnegie Melon University has proven that he can link people to their facebook profiles with only a photo within 30 seconds. Facial recognition software is also used for pet adoption in New Zealand. Doggleganger a service designed to match future pet owners with a pet that resembles them.
